OVERVIEW

The 13th All Japan Pillow Fight Championship was held in Ito City on February 22nd and 23rd.
This year, eight members of the 18th generation research students from AKB48 served as official ambassadors, sending messages of support to the “makura” (pillow fighters) at the venue.

Adorable visuals of the eight members lying in futons were also unveiled.
Despite their cute sleeping faces, the visuals actually showed a surprising twist—each member was secretly ready to battle one-on-one!

These eight unique visuals helped bring excitement to the venue and all around Ito City.
In addition, special AKB "sleeping face" postcards were handed out at several locations in the city for a limited time. They were so popular that they quickly ran out!
