OVERVIEW
In anticipation of the Osaka-Kansai Expo opening on April 13, we held a special event titled “Meet Saudi: Surprisingly Close Saudi Arabia”, offering a full sensory experience of Saudi Arabian culture through a nationwide caravan tour.
Starting in Osaka on February 15–16, the event traveled to seven cities across Japan, including Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
The caravan featured a variety of experiences, such as a booth where visitors could enjoy traditional Saudi coffee and dates, a VR experience that brought Saudi Arabia’s iconic landmarks and historic museums to life, and comparative exhibits showcasing similarities and differences between Saudi and Japanese cultures.
Other highlights included a photo spot where people could try on traditional Saudi clothing, live performances of Saudi music played on the oud (a traditional instrument), and more.
Among these, the “Surprisingly Close Saudi Arabia” exhibit—highlighting cultural parallels between Japan and Saudi Arabia—caught the attention of many visitors.
We also produced eye-catching OOH (out-of-home) ads and videos using original illustrations based on the event content. The event was a great success, drawing large crowds and enthusiastic responses.
